Øyvind “King Kong” Johannessen

Øyvind Johannessen (born October 4, 1950) is a Norwegian comedian and actor.

Øyvind Johannessen has played in a number of shows, and is particularly known for his interpretation of the character “Raymon” from Fredrikstad, created by humorist Ragnar Pedersen. He has since 1996 been a member of the cabaret trio 3 kæll who have played over a thousand shows in Østfold. The group has released CDs kæll of disco in 2002 and 3 kæll at the plate in 2003. Johannesen also contributed as a villain in the third series of the Brothers Dal, Dal Brothers and Legend of Atlant-is and also did the voice of Obelix in Asterix conquers America from 1994. He’s since the 1970s, also known locally as the Elvis impersonator under the name “King Kong”.
Johannessen has received Leif Juster honorary award.
